Chevrolet Malibu Air Conditioning
When we hear the term
"entry level car", it is normal for us to think of a vehicle that lacks
everything needed by a car to provide an exciting and convenient ride.
Well, not the Chevrolet Malibu. With an interior that is quite spacious
for its size, five persons inside this mid-size car will feel very
relaxed. Add to this the loads of standard comfort and convenience
features that give the Malibu the feel of a more expensive vehicle. And
last, there's the Chevrolet Malibu air conditioning system that makes
you feel refreshed even in the warmest summers.
Fun and exciting Chevy Malibu rides, however, can easily get
ruined because of damaged and worn out parts. And while these things
must be expected as cars get older, there are just some parts that we
don't want to fail in certain situations. During hot summers, for
example, the last thing we would want to malfunction is the auto air
conditioning system. Because Chevrolet Malibu air conditioning systems
are a bit complex, the money one has to pay to have them repaired is
also not desirable. Some auto repair shops would even charge too much
for such repairs, telling you that a lot of parts need to be replaced
even if the damage is only minor. That's why it is very important that
you know at least the basics of auto air conditioning systems.
Auto air conditioning systems are basically composed of a
compressor, an evaporator, a condenser, temperature and pressure
regulators, vents and hoses. To absorb heat inside the vehicle's cabin,
a refrigerant flows through these various A/C components. The
refrigerant would first run through the evaporator, which is located
inside the vehicle, and absorb as much heat as it can. After absorbing
enough heat, the refrigerant would be delivered by the compressor to
the condenser where the absorbed heat will be released to the outside
air. After the heat is released, the refrigerant would again be
returned to the evaporator. This process is repeated over and over
again, of course with the aid of the various other A/C components.
Generally, you don't have to replace a lot of parts because of
damage on a single part of the system. If your technician tells you
that you have to replace a lot of parts because one hose is leaking,
then you better let another technician check the system.
