The radio antenna is what receives the radio waves from your favorite
stations. Usually they are simple telescoping metal rods mounted to
the roof or fenders. Some cars use windshield antennas, which are
tiny wires which are inside the glass of the windshield. Other cars
have power antennas, which protrude automatically when the radio is
turned on, and retract when the radio is turned off.
