When the parking brake lever is applied, it pulls a cable which goes
under the car to the rear wheels. This lever is the only thing
between you and the funeral home if your hydraulic brakes fail, so
its a good thing to practice using it, and to maintain it diligently.
Also known as the emergency brake lever, for just that reason.
