A fuse block is usually connected between the battery and the main
lighting switch. It is generally mounted on the driver's side of the
firewall. When a short circuit or overload occurs in a circuit, the
fuse burns out and opens that circuit so no further damage will
result. Too much current will open a circuit breaker's terminals,
indicating there is something wrong in that circuit. The circuit
breaker then remains open until the trouble is corrected.
